Marc Leparoux is head of the group Nanoparticles & Nanocomposites at the Laboratory for Advanced Materials Processing at Empa. He joined Empa in 2001 where he developed the activities on thermal plasma synthesis of nanoparticles.

Marc Bernacki is head of MSM research unit. Through the development of numerical methods dedicated to multiscale modeling, the team MSM tries to provide new answers and methods to explain and model the evolutions of microstructure induced by forming and heat treatment operations.

Rachman Chaim joined the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at Technion in 1987. His research topics are focused on transparent and fully-dense nanocrystalline ceramics, their property – microstructure relationships, Stability and phase transitions, Effects of surfaces and interfaces on ceramic properties, spark plasma sintering (SPS) and the related densification mechanisms.
